A Note of Thanks

A Note of Thanks

To our dear Cards Don't Matter community,

This is not easy to write, but...

Last month, on a solo trip in New Mexico, I had a lot of time to think, be in nature, creatively recharge, and take an honest look at things.

During that time away, it became clear that it's time to close Cards Don't Matter.

I have been feeling every feeling about this decision, especially heartbreak, as Justin and I have poured so much love and energy and time into building this business with you.

But I also know that it's the right decision and that, although I have done my best to nurture this business and help it thrive, it's not in a place where it's sustainable to continue.

There will be emails coming with more details about what's next. (One last Quarterly Shop next week and a final clearance sale.)

But I also wanted to take a moment, before any of the "lasts" happen, to say:

Thank you.

Thank you so much for every order or expression of enthusiasm for our cards.

Thanks for allowing us to do this as long as we have. For being in community with us as we tried to get more handwritten love out into the world.

Thanks for the care you have for your favorite people and the desire you have to make sure that that care doesn't go unexpressed.

Thanks for being on this journey with us.

I'll have more info coming very soon, but wanted to make sure this came first.

Thank you so much,

Laura and Justin

You shuffle to your mailbox and open it.

As usual, it's stuffed with bills and junk and a large, glossy Papa John's advertisement addressed to CURRENT RESIDENT. But wait...

There's something else.

Hidden within the intricate folds of a coupon mailer is a gosh-darned, 100% authentic, real, genuine, handwritten envelope.

And it's addressed to YOU.
